Basma Island


It’s a haven of peace covered in citrus and vegetable plantations. Its plateau, which is facing the West Bank of Aswan, is an ideal spot from which to view the sunset and watch the bird species of Aswan.

Just south of Aswan, where the Nile is at its most scenic, stands Basma Island. This 10-acre island is a peaceful sanctuary which has been left in its undeveloped and unspoilt state.

Access to and from the island is by traditional felucca sailboats or motorboats. Special functions, buffets and barbecues are held on the island and are totally unique experiences.
